CACI’s elected bodiesCACI's elected
bodies are the General Assembly (GA), the governing council and the functional
commissions.
These bodies are
placed under the authority of the President of CACI.
The General
Assembly (AG)
CACI's General Assembly consists of:
- Chambers of Commerce and Industry Presidents and
vice-presidents;
- The Algerian Chamber of Commerce and
Industry Director General;
- Chambers of Commerce and Industry Directors;
- Associate members representing, at national
level, public administrations the missions of which are relevant to
the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Any person whose contribution is deemed useful to
its work
CACI’ AG deliberates on:
- The annual report of the Chamber;
- The general guidelines for actions to be
taken by the Governing council and the functional commissions and the
adoption of their general program of activities.
- Approval of the annual activity report of
the Council presented by the President ;
- Approval of the draft rules of procedure of
the chambers of Commerce and industry, developed by their general
assemblies, to be submitted for adoption by the Minister of Trade
- Approval of the draft rules of procedure of
CACI
- Proposals of merger or division of Chambers
of Commerce and Industry
- Any other measure consistent with its
purpose and likely to facilitate and improve the implementation of common
mission or actions to chambers of commerce and industry
The Governing
council of CACI
Composition of the governing council of CACI:
- President and vice-presidents
of CACI;
- Presidents of standing functional commissions of
CACI;
- Director General of CACI;
- one representative for each administration
concerned by the activity of the CACI
Under the chairmanship of the President of
CACI, the Council is responsible for:
- ensuring the representation of the AG of
the chamber during the intersessional period (For this purpose, it takes
the appropriate measures and initiatives necessary in this interval)
- implementing the directions and guidelines
of the general assembly of the chamber.
- monitoring and coordinating the chamber's
technical committees' work and approving their proposals, opinions,
recommendations and suggestions
- reporting on its activity to the
general assembly of the chamber;
- approving intended accessions to international
and regional organizations or counterparts or similar;
- adopting the draft budget of the Chamber
and the balance sheet for the previous financial period;
- approve the proposed creation of
annex institutions or institutions for public service management
- approving the opening project of
representative offices abroad;
- approving the proposed creation of
mixed chambers;
- approving the proposed creation of business
councils;
The functional
commissions (CT) of CACI
These commissions, ten in number, are in charge of the following activity
areas:
- Business Climate;
- Promotion Area of Economic Activities;
- Investment and Taxation;
- Foreign Trade and Cooperation;
- Skills Development;
- Industry;
- Service;
- Tourism;
- BTPH;
- Trade.
The functional
commissions are permanent bodies of reflection and study, in charge of adopting
and formalizing the synopsis of views, proposals, suggestions and opinions
issued by the chambers of commerce and industry and can deal with all issues
submitted to them in connection with their areas of expertise
CT’s consist of:
- an elected President among the
Presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Industry;
- members appointed by the President of CACI,
on the proposal of the President of each CT, from the members of the
general meeting of CACI.
- associate members of the CACI whose number
cannot exceed that of the elected members
- Rapporteur of the CT selected from
the permanent staff of the CACI;

of CCIs are the General Assembly (AG), the bureau of ICC and the functional
commissions.
The General
Assembly (AG) of CCI
The CCI's AG is
composed of elected merchants and business owners among the trade register
holders, located in the geographical area covered by each ICC for a four-year
term
The CCI’s AG consists of:
- elected merchants and business owners among
the trade register holders
- CCI's associate members in an advisory
capacity at the local level, of administrations, public
organizations the missions of which are relevant to the activity ;
- The Director of CCI.
The CCI’s Bureau
The Bureau
consists of members elected by and among the AG members for a two-year
renewable term. The President of the CCI is its chairperson and the Director is
a full member.
The CCI’s Bureau consists of:
- President and vice-presidents of the
chamber;
- members elected among the full members of
the AG;
- Director of CCI.
CCI’s functional commissions
- members appointed by and among the full
members of the chamber’s general assembly;
- CCI’s associate member whose number cannot
exceed that of the full members
- Rapporteur of the functional commission
