It's brought to the attention of the Algerian exporters that the Mauritanian authorities have decided to impose, for the period from January 10 to April 30, 2024, new exceptional taxes on vegetable imports, in order to protect national agricultural production and rebalance the fruit and vegetable market.

Also, it should be noted that taxes on land passage have been increased for the border posts of Zouérat-Algeria, Rosso-Senegal, Gogui-Mali and Guerguerat, where carriers must now pay a tax of 145,000 ouguiyas, the equivalent of 3,500 euros per truck.
